The Magallanes Interchange is the solution to make the traffic lighter in the area. In 1969, Pres. Ferdinand Marcos proposed a creation of 6 Circumferential Roads, EDSA (Which used to end in SLEX), was extended to Roxas Boulevard, an Interchange was required to be built between SLEX and EDSA. It opened in 1975.
