24 police officers involved in the planning and execution of the operation where Albuera, Leyte Mayor Rolando Espinosa was killed have been relieved from their posts. 


The order covers 18 members of CIDG-Region 8:

  13. PO2 Neil Patrimonio Centino
  14. PO1 Lloyd Ortinez Ortigueza

It also involves six members of the Regional Maritime Unit 8:

In a statement Dela Rosa said he has directed PNP Personnel and Record Management Director Fernando Mendez Jr. "to immediately issue the order" for the relief of the police officers, "effective immediately." 

They will be reassigned to the Personnel Holding and Accounting Unit in the PNP headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City "to face ongoing investigations" by the Internal Affairs service and the CIDG, Dela Rosa said.
