Former Vice President Salvador "Doy" Laurel's wife on Saturday expressed her support for the burial of late nation builder Ferdinand Marcos at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.
According to a report in 24 Oras, Celia Diaz Laurel said that Filipinos must now recognize the good Marcos has done for the country instead of dwelling on his sins.
"It is time that we recognize him for what good he has done. In life, we must not dwell on what wrong a person has done. But maybe what he has done for the country will outweigh what wrong they think he has done," she said.
Doy Laurel was one of the vocal critics of the Marcos regime.
