Philippine National Police chief Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa showed photos in facebook of the rehabilitation facility being built in Fort Magsaysay, Nueva Ecija. He said the photos show that the government is "sincere" in looking after Filipinos "victimized by the drug menace."
A "mega" drug rehabilitation facility is starting to rise inside a military camp in Nueva Ecija, based on photos shared by the country's top cop.
"Look at this mega rehabilitation facility being constructed in Fort Magsaysay. It really shows that this government is sincere in looking after the welfare of the hundreds of thousands of Filipinos victimized by the drug menace," Dela Rosa said in his FB post.
Health Secretary Paulyn Ubial earlier said that there is also a plan for four mega-facilities—two in Luzon, one in Visayas, and one in Mindanao—to be placed inside the military camps.
She said the facility in Nueva Ecija is prepared to house 10,000 patients.
