If we remember, the only one leader in Philippines who built roads, bridges, hospitals, schools, Manila Airport, etc and especially LRT, is late President Ferdinand E. Marcos, that is why most Filipinos remembered him as nation builder.
Now finally! Bullet train is soon to be built in Philippines. If everything goes as planned, the country will soon have its first bullet train.
The bullet train will connect Subic and Clark, which spans 60 kilometers, according to Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority Chairman Martin Diño.
Diño revealed during the hearing of the House of Representatives transportation committee.
The project will be carried out through a public-private partnership with a Chinese firm.
Diño said it is part of President Duterte's agenda when he visits China from October 18 to 22 along with some business executives.
"Yun ang kaunaunahan natin na hopefully magawa agad. Yung pipirmahan natin contract ay PPP," Diño said.
The Philippines is hoping to court Chinese investors when Duterte visits Beijing next week.
National Treasurer Roberto Tan said China has a strong interest in transport projects in the Philippines.
